The Greeting to the Sun has become the modern icon of the city. It was created by Nikola Bašić, the same architect who designed the Sea Organ. Three hundred circle-shaped multilayer glass plates with underlying solar modules together construct the representation of the Solar System's planets. The solar modules absorb sunlight during the day, while in the night, release it into a mesmerizing light show.
